Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov hosted the Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Ludger Schucknecht.
The parties discussed the progress of existing projects, the ways to expand financial and technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and the AIIB.
They underscored the upward trend in the volume of AIIB’s investment portfolio in Uzbekistan, which includes 13 projects totaling over $2.4 billion in the fields of energy, infrastructure development, transport and medicine.
Since March 2023, the Bank has approved 3 credit lines without a state guarantee worth of $415 million for energy projects.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on an agenda for implementation of current joint projects and the development of new areas of cooperation.
