On July 3, Tashkent hosted the meeting of the energy ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the planned supply of electricity in the autumn-winter period, the provision of irrigation water to the country's farms during the growing season, as well as the implementation of a joint of Kambarata HPP-1 construction project.
In particular, the ministers analyzed the readiness of the countries' energy facilities for the autumn-winter period, mutual redundancy, capacity regulation and planned power supplies, ensuring its transit.
They also reviewed the matter of providing countries with irrigation water during the growing season. The heads of the water management departments reaffirmed all their earlier commitments to supply water in the required volumes.
When discussing the Kambarata HPP-1 joint project, they pointed to the importance of its implementation in order to increase the supply of clean electricity to the region, as well as stable water supply to the countries.
