31.9 billion kWh of electricity was produced in Uzbekistan in the first 5 months of 2023. This is by 1.0 billion kWh or 3.3% more than in the same period last year. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.
Consumers were supplied with 27 billion kWh of electricity. This figure is by 1.6 billion kWh or 6.5% more than in the same period in 2022.
In January-May, 2.5 billion kWh of electricity was imported to cover the growing domestic consumption. This is by 384.6 million kWh or 18.6% more than in the same period last year.
During this period, 1.1 billion kWh of electricity was exported. This is by 243.2 million kWh or 18.5% less than in the same period last year.
