On June 8, Deputy Foreign Minister Gairat Fozilov hosted the election observation mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR) Urszula Gacek.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Gairat Fozilov congratulated Urszula Gacek on the start of the OSCE/ODIHR mission to observe the early presidential elections on July 9.
The parties discussed the participation of the ODIHR observer mission in the process of preparing and holding early presidential elections and said that they sought for further long-term and fruitful partnership, primarily in the framework of improving the electoral legislation.
They emphasized readiness of the parties for constructive cooperation within the framework of the mission to observe the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
