The State Assets Management Agency (SAMA) is starting the privatization of UNG Petro, which owns a network of 78 gas stations. The state plans to sell its 100% stake in the company (now owned by Uzbekneftegaz).
SAMA announced the start of the selection of a privatization consultant. The bidder will have to analyze the gas station market, prepare proposals to increase the investment attractiveness of the asset and the value range, as well as accompany the sale process with the preparation of all necessary documentation. Bids may be sent by both companies and consortiums.
UNG Petro is the largest network of filling stations in Uzbekistan. The company owns 78 filling stations, filling stations and CNG filling stations, employing over 1,500 people.
The company was established in 2019 as part of measures to improve the efficiency of the state company Uzbekneftegaz.
According to the company's information, over 200,000 tons of automotive fuel are sold at UNG Petro's gas stations a year.
Note: The privatization of UNG Petro among 1001 enterprises is planned by President’s March 24 Decree.
