Traffic safety department of Khorezm province police department is continuing to introduce new methods to prevent road accidents involving children.
The next report of the press service of the provincial road traffic police says that the new method is based on "the experience of advanced developed countries."
On the busy streets and intersections near schools and kindergartens of Urgench, new type horizontal markings were applied. It is a circle, inside of which there are two footprints from the shoes and there is an inscription STOP, and is drawn with yellow paint. In the middle of the street, the same markings are applied on a white background.
The report said that students in schools are taught how to cross the streets in four stages. The plot is accompanied by shots of children performing these actions.
1. Having approached the roadway, the children should stop at a new sign and look to the left, and then to the right.
2. It is possible to cross the street at an unregulated crossing only after making sure that the vehicles have come to a complete stop.
3. Raising hands up and again making sure that cars have stopped, the children can cross the street.
4. After crossing, the children should turn to the cars and, “based on our national traditions”, express gratitude to the drivers.
In the video, the children were seen bowing low to drivers and wave them with smiles.
