The Lithuanian government donated 684,900 doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine to Uzbekistan as humanitarian aid, the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health said. The plane with the vaccine landed in Tashkent on Sunday.
Earlier, Dunyo news agency reported that the vaccine was sent from Lithuania to Uzbekistan. The statement said that the vaccines were intended for residents of the Khodjeili district of Karakalpakstan autonomy and that the cargo included 607,000 doses of Pfizer (Omicron BA.4-5) and 78,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson (Jcovden). The value of the cargo is estimated at 13 million euros.
