Strong fire occurred on the evening of May 9 at a gas filling station located near the gas supply enterprise in Pakhtachi district of Samarkand province. It led to an explosion, which was captured in numerous videos that circulated on social networks.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the message about the fire was received at 21:25. Five fire and rescue crews were sent to the place, at 22:30 the fire was localized and extinguished at 23:00.
Three Isuzu vehicles and their 50-litre LPG cylinder were damaged in a fire at a gas station.
Presumably, the incident occurred as a result of a violation of safety regulations when draining gas from a MAN tank truck into a reserve tank, the report said.
According to preliminary information, one person was injured. Measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the incident.
The investigation department of the provincial police department opened a criminal case under Violation of fire safety rules by a person responsible for their implementation, resulting in moderate or severe bodily injury charge of the Criminal Code. A forensic medical, fire-technical and forensic appraisal examination has been scheduled.
