The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Russian president Vladimir Putin over the phone today, the presidential press service said. The counterparts reportedly discussed the ways to deepen cooperation, ensuring the dynamics of the two-way trade and supporting cooperation projects of major enterprises.
The two leaders commended the outcomes of the Innoprom. Central Asia international industrial exhibition, which was attended by over 5,000 business delegates from 35 countries.
They also emphasized the importance of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the automotive industry, railway transport, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry and other priority sectors.
The pointed to the interest in studying best practices in the development of industrial mortgages, clusters, industrial development fund and other tools and exchanged views on topical aspects of regional cooperation.
At the end of the conversation, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely thanked the Russian president for the support provided in holding the upcoming constitutional referendum on the territory of the Russian Federation.
