President of Uzbekistan instructed to send humanitarian aid to the population of Syria, which suffered from earthquakes with an epicenter in Turkish Kahramanmaraş in early February, UzA reported.

The 50 tons of humanitarian cargo consists of clothes for children and adults, household appliances, canned food, dried fruits, semi-finished products, baby cereals, blankets and pillows, hygiene kits and other essentials.

Officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport will deliver the cargo by plane.

More than 5,800 people are believed to have died in early February earthquakes in Syria.

The government, businesses and residents of Uzbekistan previously collected 170 tons of humanitarian aid to victims of earthquakes in Turkey, they were delivered by 6 cargo planes and 7 trucks to different regions of the country.
