138,900 Uzbeks went abroad to study in 11 months of 2022, with about 1,000 of them choosing the United States as the destination, the State Statistics Committee said.
In January-November 2022, Kyrgyzstan topped the rating of countries where Uzbek students traveled the most for the purpose of studying - 52,291 people.
Kyrgyzstan was followed by Tajikistan and Russia, where 47,213 people and 13,128 people went to study, respectively.
The above countries were followed by:
- Kazakhstan – 10,646 people;
- Turkey - 5,265 people;
- South Korea - 4,645 people;
- USA – 987 people;
- UK - 971 people;
- Belarus - 928 people;
- Germany - 772 people.
