Today, the Board of the Central Bank decided to keep the interest rate at 14% per annum. in September 2020 the regulator lowered the base rate by 1 pp. to 14% per annum.
Then this decision was due to the strengthening of the prerequisites for a further slowdown in the projected inflation rate, the need to maintain moderately positive real interest rates in the economy, as well as to achieve a balance between the inflation target and keeping economic activity during a pandemic.
