In January 2025, the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank chaired nine meetings, where it reviewed 44 items and issued decisions.
The bulk of the discussions was devoted to registration and licensing. with 36 items reviewed, including amendments to the charters of credit institutions (7 items), registration of new microfinance organizations (11) and issuance of permits for equity ownership of banks (2 items).
One auditor qualification certificate was also issued for dealing with banks. Candidacies for key positions in commercial banks were reviewed, including members of supervisory boards and management boards (14 cases).
One of the significant decisions was the completion of the liquidation of the Start Kapital Invest credit union and its exclusion from the State Register of Credit Unions.
In addition, the committee analyzed the financial condition of credit institutions. The issues of compliance with the Central Bank regulations, the findings of checks of commercial banks, microfinance and payment organizations, as well as applying regulations on consideration of letters from individuals and legal entities were considered. In this area, 8 issues were studied.
