Tomorrow, on March 24, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the Tashkent International Investment Forum and deliver an opening speech at the plenary session.
The session will also be attended by President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile-Renault Basso, President of the Asian Development Bank Masatsugu Asakawa, Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih, Vice President of the World Trade Organization Xiangchen Zhang, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Konstantin Limitovsky and Vice President of the International Financial Corporation Stephanie von Friederburg.
The event will be moderated by Jonathan Charles, best known as a news presenter on the international BBC World News channel and now Director of Communications for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Earlier on January 27, the President held a government meeting on the organization of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The main goal of the forum is to attract foreign direct investment in the driver sectors of the economy - energy, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, the textile industry, agriculture and the food industry, the construction industry, as well as in the provinces of Uzbekistan.
Then the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade was instructed to prepare, together with the governor, presentation materials on promising projects that will be offered to foreign investors.
