President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the site of the fifth Innoprom. Central Asia industrial exhibition in Tashkent Monday, the presidential press service said.
The forum hosted by the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan is being attended by over 10 thousand delegates from Russia, Central Asian countries, China, Turkey, India and other countries.
The exhibition presents technological solutions, equipment and finished industrial products of leading enterprises in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industries, transport sector, construction industry, IT and other industries.
During the inspection of the pavilions and expositions, Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed to the great potential of economic partnership and opportunities for generating business ideas. He expressed confidence that the forum would give impetus to the promotion of new large-scale projects, will contribute to the development of long-term partnerships and the expansion of interregional cooperation.
On the sidelines of the event, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
The parties considered implementing the agreements and arrangements made following the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan in May last year.
They underscored the importance of increasing trade and economic cooperation, promoting cooperation projects and programs, including through the development of coordinated decisions at the Innoprom Forum.
At a meeting with the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the President Mirziyoyev discussed the ways to expand industrial cooperation between leading enterprises and active humanitarian exchange.
The parties agreed to continue intensive contacts, promote joint projects in the oil and gas, chemical, transport, tourism and other sectors, including within the framework of industrial zones in the provinces of Uzbekistan.
Rustam Minnikhanov landed in Uzbekistan on a working visit on the eve. He visited the industrial park on the territory of the Navoi FEZ, the Bukhara Industrial Development Complex, met with the khokim of the Bukhara region Botir Zaripov and inspected the Chirchik technology park in Tashkent.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also talked with the CEO of the Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev, they noted the dynamic development of cooperation in the field of peaceful atom.
The parties focused on advancing cooperation in the field of application of nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine, as well as training of personnel at the branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in Tashkent.
The President Mirziyoyev also attended the round table, during which the governors of provinces and leading companies of Uzbekistan and Russia presented specific plans for the implementation of cooperation projects.
