The U.S.-based Honeywell UOP and Uzbekistan GTL signed a memorandum of cooperation on launching production of alkylbenzenes on Tuesday, the Ministry of Energy reported.
The meeting was held as part of the Energy Week of Uzbekistan at the World Expo 2020 (Dubai, UAE).
The 100 thousand-ton annual capacity linear alkylbenzenes production unit is planned to be built at the Uzbekistan GTL plant. The raw material for the new production will be intermediate products produced during the production of GTL-kerosene.
The memorandum provides for the expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan GTL and Honeywell UOP in the joint development of technical, economic, licensing and other documents for the organization of new production.
Linear alkylbenzene is the main raw material for production of detergents - from liquid soap to washing powders.
