The Development Bank and its branches in provinces will be set up with an aim to develop industry and infrastructure. This is stipulated in the draft Roadmap of the Development Strategy for 2022-2026 to be implemented 2022.
Reportedly, consultations the Development Bank will be obtained from international financial institutions. An interdepartmental working group on setting up the Development Bank will be established and proposals will be developed. A draft resolution on the establishment of the Development Bank of Uzbekistan will be developed.
In addition, economic relations will be established between the provinces and businesses of foreign countries, in particular Syrdarya province will establish close ties with China, Surkhandarya province with Russia and Jizzakh province with India with an objective to develop investment and trade ties. Portfolios of ready-made business projects will be presented to foreign partners.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine will establish a Business Support Center to train entrepreneurs in running a business.
The Center for Advanced Projects and Engineering will be established in Tashkent. Innovation and Technology Centers will be established in each district of Tashkent.
From 2022, Tashkent will host the annual Tashkent International Investment Forum. While, a draft government resolution on the Tashkent International Investment Forum will be prepared and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
