Starting from April 1, excises on imports of rolled steel, products of polymers and wood have been abolished in Uzbekistan. The decision on this was signed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirzieyev on March 31, 2017.
Macaroni products (HS code 1902), a number of polyethylene products (3901 10 900 0), particle board (4410) and sheet rolled steel (7208 27 000 0, 7208 39 000 0) have been removed from the list of excisable goods.
The decree has also reduced the excise fee for imported commercial vehicles (8704 31 910 with a total vehicle weight of not more than 5 tons) - from 70% to 30% of the customs price.
Excise taxes on imports of a number of food products has been reduced. So, the rate for import of wheat flour (1101) was reduced from 11% to 5%, the combined rate for imports of sunflower oil (1512 11) - from 20%, but not less than 0.32 US dollars per liter, to 10%, but not less than 0.16 US dollars per liter, canned vegetable products (2005) - from 50% to 10%, vegetable and fruit juice But not less than 1 US dollar per liter, to 30%, but not less than 0.5 US dollar per liter, flavor additives (2103, except ketchup and mayonnaise) - from 70% to 25%.
