On March 29, the Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov in Paris met with the Director General of MEDEF International, Philippe Gautier.
MEDEF International is the branch for international ties of the Movement of French Enterprises MEDEF, which currently unites over 750,000 French companies and firms.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of further strengthening the Uzbek-French trade, economic and investment ties, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
As was noted, the French businesses are interested in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan, in particular in the implementation of Uzbekistan’s Development Strategy on five priority areas for 2017-2021. In this context, the sides discussed the practical aspects of organization, under the auspices of MEDEF International ,of a trip to Uzbekistan of a delegation of French businesses and holding of an Uzbekistan-France Business Forum in Tashkent.
