A new bridge over Amu-Bukhara canal was commissioned in Karaulbazar district of Bukhara province, UzA reported. The bridge is located on A-380 international route - Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beineu. Construction and assembly works totaling 11.8 billion soums have been completed in the framework of the project.
As we already mentioned, the design works of the bridge were started in July 2016 - when a part of the old bridge, built in 1961, collapsed.
The width of the four-lane bridge is 27 m, the length - 72 m. There are pedestrian sidewalks on both sides.
The deputy director of the organization responsible for the operation of the territorial roads of BukhoroAvtoYul (Bukhara Auto Roads), Sherzod Egamov said that 5 km of roads leading to the bridge from both sides will be reconstructed in the near future.
