The parties considered the outcomes of six rounds of expert negotiations on the terms of signing the bilateral preferential trade agreement, focusing on the early completion of the formation of a short list of goods, in respect of which, on a reciprocal basis, preferential terms for market access will be provided.
With the view of the sensitive sectors of the economy, the interests of business and society, the parties agreed on a parity basis to apply modalities of granting preferences in mutual trade to selected types of goods. In particular, it provides for the application of a tariff quota, full and partial exemption from customs duties.
The counterparts also agreed to complete negotiating the terms for granting preferences in relation to the selected goods before the year-end, as well as prepare the agreement for signing in early 2021.
