President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to set up a chemistry research institute together with South Korea and improve the education system at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, the presidential press service said.
A meeting on reform the chemical industry, chaired by the president, took place on February 24. Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that there are many problems in the sphere and opportunities not yet used. In particular, certain types of chemical products that do not have a complex composition and can be produced domestically are still being imported.
The President instructed to critically analyze the activities of each industry enterprise, improve the quality of products, reduce cost by reducing energy costs. He emphasized the importance of introducing digital technologies and increasing the level of automation of hazardous production facilities.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions on the swift elevating the polyvinyl chloride production unit at Navoiazot enterprise to the design capacity and designing the second stage.
In addition, he emphasized that it is necessary to expand the production of small-tonnage chemical products by organizing for this a small industrial zone at the unused areas of Navoiazot.
