On October 17, the State Acceptance Commission signed the Facilities Acceptance Act of the Kandym gas processing plant in the Bukhara province. This marked the completion of the construction of the plant and the utilities & offsite, the Ministry of Energy said.
The project includes a gas processing plant with two process lines with annual of 4.05 BCM throughput capacity each, an administration building, repair zones, an residential complex for 1,150 people, 71 wells, 285 km of roads, 70 km export gas pipeline and more. The facility was presented for acceptance by LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company.
The commission includes officials of the Ministries Of Energy, Employment, Emergency, Construction, the State Committee for Industrial Safety and other state bodies - about 30 members.
The Kandym Gas Processing Plant was inaugurated in April last year. The plant, designed to process 8 BCM gas per year, had been under construction since 2016. The complex was built by a consortium of companies Hyundai Engineering and Enter Engineering.
