The first of the Working Group meeting on monitoring the implementation of the agreements reached during the summit meetings took place in Seoul Friday, Dunyo said.
Among them are the agreements on organizing the visit of South Korean business executives to Uzbekistan, joint work to study the issue of signing the Free Trade Agreement, assistance by the Korean side for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, faciltating access of Uzbek fruits and vegetables to the Korean market and other issues.
The Uzbekistan government delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade L. Qudratov, and the South Korean delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jung-rae.
The parties discussed the ways to accelerate the implementation of joint projects and exchanged views on enhancing the research centers for the development of Uzbekistan’s industry, introduction of digital health care, strengthening of cooperation in the pharmaceutical field and the implementation of other projects.
The next meeting of the working group will be held in September in Tashkent.
