Dubai-based flydubai airline will operate five flights per week between Dubai and Tashkent starting 11 March 2019 from Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport.

flydubai is a government-owned low-cost airline with its head office at Dubai International Airport. The airline operates a total of 95 destinations, serving the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe from Dubai.

The Tashkent flights will be operated as part of the code-sharing agreement with Emirates from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

flydubai has operated flights to Central Asia starting from November 2010, with the first destination in the region being Ashgabat.

Emirates will place its code on the new route as part of the code-sharing agreement with flydubai, announced in July 2017.

The return ticket in business class costs from 7,500 AED (US$ 1,785), while economy class fare starts at 1,545 AED (US$ 420). We can see that the UAE-based low-cost airline turns out to be not so low-cost for Uzbekistan. We believe this to be due to the company being heavily taxed to enter the Uzbek market.
