Uzbekistan intends to change the structure of textile production and increase exports up to US$ 7 billion by 2025, UzTextil Sanoat (transl. UzTextileIndustry) Association said.

In, the sector the Textile industry Development Strategy for 2019-2021 will be implemented of the, which provides for an increase in industrial output by 1.6 times - up to 19.2 trillion soums, or US$ 3.4 billion, production of fabrics - by 1.5 times, ready-made garments- by 1.8 times and hosiery - by 3.3 times.

As part of the international cooperation, it is planned to establish regional representative offices of the Association covering regions of the CIS countries (Russia, Belarus, countries of the South Caucasus), the EU and South-East Asia.
