The Peugeot Citroen car plant in Jizzakh province is not included in the list of facilities which will be commissioned in 2019, the President’s Measures to Implement Uzbekistan’s Investment Program for 2019 Decree said.
The document has approved the targeted program of facilities and production capacities to be commissioned in 2019.
Among them are the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant, the Phase II of Tashkent Metro Yunusabad line, the Project Engineering Center with international standards certification laboratory (all three facilities scheduled to be commissioned in December 2019) and a few others .
The program includes only one project from Uzavtosanoat - the production of two and three-wheeled motorcycles in the Norin district of Namangan province, to be launched in March 2019.
The Jizzakh Automobile Plant is included in another list - the list of promising projects to be developed in 2019, where, the Namangan automobile plant (Hyundai trucks, minibuses, buses and special vehicles) was also included.
Earlier, Uzavtosanoat announced amendments to the concept of construction of the car plant in Jizzakh.
