Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy PM/Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz Alisher Sultanov visited the construction site of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, the Belarus Ministry of Energy said in a statement.

The Uzbek delegation, in particular, visited the information center of the plant, familiarized themselves with the social infrastructure of Ostrovets city, the training center and the construction progress of the plant.

The Uzbek officials held talks, learned about the implementation of the Belarusian nuclear power project which is of particular interest since the Government of Uzbekistan decided to build a nuclear power plant with RosAtom, the statement said.

The Belarusian nuclear power plant is a multi-reactor nuclear power plant project in Belarus. The project foresees construction of four nuclear reactors by 2025. The reactors would be supplied by  Atomstroyexport, the Russian nuclear equipment manufacturer and the plant would be located in Hrodna province.
