3Mt cement plant using energy-efficient dry method will be built in Tashkent province at AkhangaranCement. Yesterday the Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia oversaw the signing of the project implementation agreement by the chairman of the board of UzQurilishMateriallari Botir Zaripov and the chairman of the board of directors of Eurocement Group Filaret Galchev.
The new plant will become the largest cement plant in the region and will be equipped with high-end process equipment mainly from European manufacturers, Eurocement Group said.
Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co. (part of CNBM, an industrial group) has been awarded contract for design, construction, material supply, manufacture and installation of equipment, as well as training of personnel for the project following a tender. The contract price with the Chinese company is over 160 million US dollars. The project is expected to be completed in 2020.
