UzbekEnergo announced that it has completed the Construction of External Power Supply for Kandym Gas Processing Plant Project.

The company stated that a 89.4 km 220 kV transmission line Bukhara-Kandym substation was commissioned under the project. The estimated project cost is $ 80 million.

In February 2015, LUKOIL and a consortium of contractors, led by South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering signed a contract worth $ 2.66 billion for material supply and construction of Kandym gas processing plant.

The construction of the 8.1 billion cubic meters throughput capacity gas complex commenced in April 2016. Total investment in the phase I is estimated at $ 3.3 billion, which is to be completed in December 2017.
