Uzbek Ambassador to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov met with Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Authority for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Olga Shevchenko.

According to Dunyo, the parties discusse the Uzbek-Ukrainian ties in the field of agriculture and exchange views on the prospects for further expansion of cooperation in the production of dairy products, exporting quality food to Uzbekistan and other matters.

According to the Ukrainian Authority, the meeting took place last week.

Reportedly, the parties also discussed advancing cooperation, lifting technical obstacles, simplification of accreditation of Ukrainian enterprises exporting food products in Uzbekistan and other matters of economic cooperation between the two countries.

It became known that to date, 17 forms of international certificates have been agreed between Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

At the meeting, the parties also agreed to hold an online meeting between the Uzbek Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development and the Ukrainian Authority for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in order to find ways to optimize control in the field of food safety and veterinary medicine.
