José Carreras, one of the greatest tenors of all time, will perform at the Uzbekistan International Forums Palace on December 17, accompanied by the Uzbekistan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the Spanish maestro David Gimenez.

This will be a rare opportunity for fans of the tenor and opera to see the legendary performer live.

Spanish tenor’s repertoire spans more than 60 operas and his achievements include being commissioned to be the musical director of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and teaming up with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti as The 3 Tenors. Carreras reached an audience of 2 million with the concert “3 Tenors,” when he performed with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti before the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

The famous tenor took the stage for the first time at the age of 11 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. In 1971, he won the Voci Verdiane from Parma’s most prestigious competitions by creating a tremendous impression with his work with Nabucco and Lucrezia Borgia.
