According to UzbekKino (transl. Uzbek Cinema), Fotih Jalalov has been appointed interim Director of UzbekFilm (transl. Uzbek Movie), the national film studio.
UzbekFilm’s previous chief Hilol Nasimov left his post. The decision was taken at the October 27 extraordinary meeting of the film studio.
The film and theater actor Fatih Jalalov in 1984 graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A. Ostrovsky (TTAI).
Earlier, he worked as first deputy culture and sports minister of Uzbekistan, as well as in the UzbekKino system. He is an Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan.
