The Embassy of Romania in Tashkent is pleased to announce that on November 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Kamoliddin Behzod Institute of Fine Arts and Design, will host the opening of an exhibition of paintings and installations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Uzbekistan.

Romania was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Uzbekistan, with the diplomatic relations established on October 6, 1995. To mark the anniversary, congratulatory letters were exchanged between Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Tsoiu and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Uzbekistan Daniel Cristian Ciobanu delivered a lecture at the Tashkent State University of Economics. Romanian-Uzbek relations are currently developing dynamically at all levels. Romanian companies are showing increasing interest in Uzbekistan's economic potential, and bilateral trade is growing. Romania has an active and highly valued cultural presence in Uzbekistan.

The exhibition consists of 33 paintings and four installations by students of the Kamoliddin Behzod Institute of Fine Arts and Design, inspired by the friendly relations between Romania and Uzbekistan.

The exhibition will be held at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan (Academy Gallery, Sadyk Azimov Street 35) from November 24 to 30, 2025.

The Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Uzbekistan invites art lovers to this remarkable event. Free admission.
