An exhibition-presentation took place at the Uzbek Embassy in Muscat, dedicated to the launch of a pilot project for the supply of Uzbek fruits to Oman, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The jeans production company VINTAGE DENIM was inaugurated on June 14 in Olmaliq city of Tashkent province. The 150 thousand jeans and jumpers annual capacity facility has now  100 high-tech sewing machines and employs 250 people.

Georgian TBC Bank has bought the 51% stake in Inspired LLC, which owns the PayMe digital payment system in Uzbekistan for US$ 5.5 million, the bank said in a statement.

Uzavtosanoat (Uz Auto Industry) launched production of bicycles and motorcycles in Norin city of Namangan province. The initial annual production capacity is at 150 thousand bicycles and will gradually increase.

UzIkkilamchiRangliMetal (Uz Secondary Non-Ferrous Metal) JSC will launch a plant for production of gel (industrial) batteries, the company said in a statement.
