President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the top managers of major French companies, and reportedly urged them to invest in projects in Uzbekistan, the President’s press service said.
The French Fives Groupe plans to launch the production of auto glass jointly with UzQurilishMateriallari in Uzbekistan. "Our group specializes in projects in heavy industry, engineering and manufacturing of equipment. Over the past two years, we have built close cooperation with Uzbek partners. For example, we are now launching the production of high-quality auto glass products to be exported," the head of the International Development at Fives group Jean-Marie Caroff.
For the first time, the United States will be holding its flagship international business event, the Eighth Annual Central Asia Trade Forum, in Uzbekistan. The event, organized by the U.S. Agency for international Development (USAID) and co-hosted by the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Government of Uzbekistan, will be held in Tashkent on October 17-18, 2018 in Tashkent.
