President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect Ram Nath Kovind on his Indian election victory, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev: "Your resounding win is the testament, above all, of the high confidence the Indian people in You and is a worthy grade to Your many years of political activity, rich life experience."
The message underscored the mutual interest in the consistent advancing of strategic ties in all areas of mutual interest.
"I would like to emphasize that the time and life tested friendship bonds, which are based on centuries-old strong ties between our peoples, are successfully developing and strengthening now," the message reads.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished Rama Nath Covinda good health and successful tenure, and peace and prosperity – to the friendly Indian people.
