For the first time, an Uzbek women's cycling team, the Tashkent City Women Professional Cycling Team will be competing at all women’s cycling races on the 2024 World Tour calendar, press service of the Cycling Federation said.
On December 12, the International Cycling Union (UCI) unveiled the 15 teams in the top division of the World Tour (Pro Teams) that have won licenses for the World Tour.
Tashkent City Women Professional Cycling Team and Cofidis from France have been selected as the top two UCI Women's Continental teams in the 2023 UCI Women's World Rankings and eligible for registration.
In 2023 season, the Tashkent City Women Professional Cycling Team was ranked in the top 20 of the world's strongest Pro teams according to the UCI rating, and as a result will be competing at the top division of the world tour.
In the 2024 season, the team will compete in the Tour de France, Femmes Vec Zwift, Tour de L'avenir, Giro d'Italia, Strade Bianche, La Vuelta Ciclista a España.
