On January 26, Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting, where the President voiced his opinion on the fight against corruption in the country.
We must fight together against corruption, which is destroying the governance system and is threatening social stability. It is also necessary to fight bureaucracy, localism and nepotism, he said.
“We must not sit, laugh and ask who will fight corruption. We must fight against corruption together with society. Here sits Burkhanov, we created an Anti-Corruption agency. Everything depends on us. We have created all conditions for everyone, starting from mayors. We have raised the salaries of government officials. Where are the results?” he concluded.
