The plenum of the political council of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan on Saturday nominated the deputy chief of the party, Maksuda Varisova, as a candidate for the presidential elections.
“Our program reflects our main goals - achieving the well-being of the people, reduction of poverty in the economic crisis, creation of jobs, solving women's problems, ensuring women's employment, protecting their interests. We have outlined clear tasks in our program and we will strive to achieve them,” Maksuda Varisova told reporters after the plenum.
