Shukhrat Ganiev has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the development of the agrarian and food sectors in place of the late Deputy PM Uktam Barnoev. Prior to that, he had served as the Fergana province governor.
His candidacy was approved at the Sep. 25 meeting in the provincial administration with the participation of the chief of the Presidential Administration Zainilobiddin Nizomiddinov and the PM Abdulla Arpiov, the press service of the provincial administration reported.
Shukhrat Ganiev, 52, was born in Margilan. He graduated from the Tashkent State Agrarian University (1992) and the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (2005).
He began his career as a lead specialist in the Margilan cooperative association of the Fergana province. In 2004-2007 he worked as deputy chairman of the board of Uzkimyosanoat, in 2007-2008 - head of the department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. In 2008-2011, he was the first deputy governor of the Fergana province in charge of agriculture and water management. From 2011 to 2012, he served as the governor of the Fergana province, in 2012 he was appointed on a permanent basis.
Khairulla Bozorov, who had previously served as the Namangan province governor, was approved as the governor of the Fergana province on the proposal of the President.
Khairulla Bozorov was born in 1976 in the Chartak district of Namangan province. He graduated from the Namangan Industrial and Technological Institute (1997). In 1997-2003, he held various positions in the tax department of the Namangan province. In 2003-2005, he headed the State Tax Inspectorate of the city of Namangan. From 2005 to 2008 he worked in the Namangan province governor’s office. For seven years, from 2008 to 2015, he headed the Uchkurgan, Chust and Mingbulak districts of the Namangan province. In 2015, he was appointed to the post of governor of the province.
Earlier on Friday, Shavkatjon Abdurazakov, who previously worked as the chairman of the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Ecology, was approved as acting governor of Namangan province.
