The Russian billionaire of Uzbek origin Alisher Usmanov donated US$ 20 million to the Public Fund “Mehr-Shafqat wa Salomatlik” (Mercy and Health), Uzbekistan 24 reported.
The funds will reportedly be used to equip with the modern medical equipment the hospital, which is being built in Tashkent’s Zangiata district.
The 44-hectare emergency medical facility set up specifically to tackle the coronavirus for 10 thousand patients is expected to be completed within a month.
Sandwich panels are used in the construction of the hospital, which allow you to quickly erect the facilities,with over 2,000 workers and specialists and 600 pieces of equipment involved. Construction is ongoing 24 hours a day in 3 shifts.
