Moderately hot weather will persist across Uzbekistan through the first half of this week, with temperatures close to the seasonal norm, Uzhydromet reported. Daytime highs will reach 32-35 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures are expected to climb by another 2-3 degrees in the second half of the week, with daytime readings of 35-38 degrees, and up to 39-40 degrees in the south. Nighttime lows will generally range from 18-23 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are forecast from August 24-28, though isolated mountainous areas of the Tashkent and Fergana regions could see brief rain and thunderstorms on Monday afternoon.
Winds will blow at 7-12 meters per second, strengthening to 13-18 meters per second in some areas on August 24, with patches of blowing dust expected in certain districts.
In Tashkent, skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with no precipitation expected.
Daytime temperatures in the capital will hold at 32-35 degrees from August 24-26, rising to 35-37 degrees on August 27-28. Nighttime lows will range from 18-21 degrees.
Winds will blow from the east at 3-8 meters per second, with gusts up to 11-14 meters per second possible on August 24, accompanied by blowing dust in some parts of the city.
