The Energy Expert Training Center (EETC), established under Uzbekistan-Korea energy cooperation, will hold its first regular training course of 2026.
Basic and Advanced Energy Courses to Open in May
The training will consist of two programs: the Basic Course and the Advanced Course.
The Basic Course will run from May 11 to 12, 2026, and the Advanced Course from May 11 to 15, 2026.
EETC has offered various programs to train energy experts in Uzbekistan. While previous courses were provided free of charge as part of an ODA project, this year’s training will be operated as a paid program with a more advanced and structured curriculum.
The course will cover energy efficiency, engineering theories and practical knowledge for energy audits, and energy cooperation cases between Korea and Uzbekistan. Through lectures and case studies, participants will strengthen their expertise in energy auditing and efficiency improvement.

EETC Produces Certified Energy Audit Experts

Last year, EETC held three energy expert training courses, bringing together participants from Uzbekistan’s energy institutions, research institutes, universities, and public and private sectors. The courses provided practical knowledge in energy efficiency and energy auditing.
Seven participants from the Master Course obtained nationally certified Energy Audit Expert qualifications, marking a major step in developing energy audit professionals in Uzbekistan.

EETC has since become the institution that trained Uzbekistan’s first and only nationally certified energy audit experts. The achievement shows that Korea-Uzbekistan energy cooperation is expanding beyond training to support local capacity building and institutional development.
An EETC official said, “Based on last year’s achievements, we will provide a more advanced regular training course this year. We will continue to nurture professionals in energy efficiency and energy auditing, contributing to Uzbekistan’s energy transition and sustainable development.”
