President Mirziyoyev issued Additional Measures for Sales of State-Owned Assets Aimed at Private Healthcare Sector Development Decree approving a list of state owned medical organizations whose assets are put on auction for privatization. According to the State Committee on Competition, this list includes 48 facilities across the country.
The main condition of sale of these facilities is the requirement to set up a private modern medical organizations. The sale contemplates preserving the type of activity for the next 10 years.
In the process of privatization, in the case of the equal value of offers by bidders, preference is given to bidder who was previously employed by medical organization which is being sold.
The facilities will be sold after an assessment of their value.
The above decision was taken in an intent to stimulate and expand private health care system and privatize inefficient public health organizations.
