The president Mirziyoyev signed a decree ordering the finalization of drafting the bill on declariation of income and assets by civil servants on April 21.
The decree is expected to be drafted by the end of May, with the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office assigned as responsible entities.
What will be disclosed and what will not
At a meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council, orders were given to amendments providing for the mandatory declaring of six categories of information:
- last name, first name, patronymic of declarant;
- information about spouse and minor children;
- place of work and position;
- total annual income;
- owned real estate;
- owned vehicles.
At the same time, 20 categories of information shall not be subject to disclosure, including place of residence, income from agriculture and private practice, ownership of securities, cash and deposits, inheritance, gifts valued of up to 200 times the base calculation unit (75 million soums), fees, cash bonuses and winnings up to 100 BSUs (37.5 million soums) and others.
The declaration will be submitted annually until April 1 through the Declaration electronic information system.
Information on the declared property will be automatically integrated through the relevant databases of organizations.
The Anti-Corruption Agency will become the authorized body in the field of declaration, will conduct inspections and publish open parts of the information on its official website.
