In the Kartal district of Istanbul, twenty-eight-year-old S.T. allegedly stabbed her husband Emre Erim (42) after an argument. After stabbing her husband, S.T. called the taxi stand and asked for a ride, saying, "My husband is sick, he needs to go to the hospital." Health teams who arrived upon the taxi driver's report determined that Emre Erim had died. Caught by the police, S.T. was arrested by the judicial authorities to which she was referred.

The incident took place on Sunday, April 6 at around 21:30 in an apartment on the third floor of a building in the Karlıktepe Neighborhood. According to the allegations, an argument broke out between S.T., an Uzbek national, and Emre Erim, who had been married for 4 years, due to financial reasons. The argument quickly escalated into a fight. S.T. got angry and stabbed her husband Emre Erim with a knife she took from the kitchen. Erim collapsed to the ground covered in blood.

'MY SPOUSE IS SICK, HE NEEDS TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL'

It was found that S.T., who stabbed her husband, called the taxi stand and asked for a ride saying, 'My spouse is sick, he needs to go to the hospital'. When the taxi driver who arrived at the address went up to help the passenger who he thought was sick, he encountered Emre Erim lying in a pool of blood. The taxi driver called the 112 Emergency Call Center and asked for help. The police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon examination by the medical teams that arrived at the address, it was determined that Erim, a father of one, had lost his life. Erim's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for examination. His body was received by his family and he was buried after the prayer performed at the Kartal Central Mosque.

THE POLICE CAUGHT HER WHILE SHE WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE

S.T., who was caught trying to escape during the operations conducted by the police teams affiliated with the Kartal District Police Department, was detained. Suspect S.T. was arrested by the judicial authorities after the procedures at the police station and sent to prison.

Neighborhood resident Zöhre Paydaş said, "I got goosebumps. If one is angry? One needs to have a walk. When your anger subsides, you come back home. It's a very bad situation, people hear about it on the news. May God take the life that gives it. I was very affected, I cried. Look at them? Their doors are open, their windows are open, their laundry has been outside for days. It's a bad thing. May God not let anyone experience this."

'THEY LOOKED VERY HAPPY'

Gürsel Altuntaş, who sells milk in the neighborhood and stated that the couple was his customer, said, "I knew them as good people. They would buy milk from time to time. They looked very happy. They were my customers and they were good, but I was upset. I didn't expect something like this from either of them, we were upset."
