Man who ate a live snake was fined in Zamin district of Jizzakh province, the provincial environmental protection department said today.
Reportedly, a video footage was circulated on social networks showing a man eating a live snake. The Zamin district environmental protection Inspectorate and the police department investigated the case.
The investigation found that the live snake eating committed by K.H. was in violation of the Articles 4, 30, 51, 53 of the Protection and Use of the Wildlife Law.
State inspectors imposed a 7.5 million soums (20 times basic calculation unit, BCU) under Violation of the Rules for Hunting and Fishing, as well as the Rules for Performing of Other Types of Use of the Wildlife, in the Absence of Signs of a Crime charge of the Administrative Liability Code.
Also, damage caused to the nature was estimated at 1 million 125 thousand soums.
