Today, the EUROUZ Committee on Public Relations and Strategic Communications, chaired by Beeline Uzbekistan, in collaboration with Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media, held its second breakfast for PR and media specialists titled: "Uzbekistan in the Spotlight: Media Perceptions and Strategic Directions."
The event brought together over 35 representatives from businesses, international organizations, media associations, as well as local and international experts in media and public relations, to discuss key communication strategy issues and strengthen collaboration among various stakeholders.
Akramjon Fozilov, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media emphasized the importance of collaboration between local and international media:
"When our country is perceived as a modern, open, and dynamically evolving state, it creates new opportunities and contributes to economic growth. Open dialogue and experiencesharing with international media play a crucial role in transforming challenges into opportunities for progress."
The event program featured a case discussion by Beeline Uzbekistan, using the upcoming GSMA Global Summit - M360, scheduled to take place in May 2025 in Tashkent, as an example. It also included a review of EUROUZ Committee initiatives for 2025 and an online presentation by Nastassia Astrasheuskaya, International Journalist, Former Former Moscow and Central Asia Reporter, the Financial Times, on the prospects of global media in Uzbekistan.
“Each of you, together with us, plays a unique role in shaping the information landscape, influencing public perception, driving decision-making, and building the image of our country and its economy by conveying important messages in an accessible manner. Our vision is for the committee to serve as a platform uniting business, journalism, and strategic communications across Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Accordingly, we plan to host over a dozen diverse community engagements in 2025,” - said Valentina Butnik, Director of External Communications and Reputation Management at Beeline Uzbekistan.
The event concluded with a networking session, where participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss next steps. The Committee's breakfast reaffirmed the importance of collective efforts in developing Uzbekistan's media landscape and strengthening international cooperation.
