Viral hepatitis cases were recorded in Tashkent’s two schools, the head Office of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health in Tashkent said.

Specialists from the Mirobod District branch of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee conducted an epidemiological investigation and sanitary oversight due to the detection of cases of viral hepatitis in schools No. 214 and No. 65.

The check studied:

  • presence of reports on the timelines of medical examination of students and staff;
  • compliance with personal hygiene rules;
  • cleanliness in school building and rooms, serviceability of equipment;
  • heating system;
  • compliance with hygiene rules in toilets, presence of sinks for hand washing and the condition of the sewage system.

The check found that the sanitary condition of the schools does not meet the requirements. In connection with the violations identified, an administrative violation sheet was drawn up against the school management.
